The Great Computer Crash of 2008!

So I was hanging out in lab the other day and my computer completely froze up on me. It turned out that my hard drive completely broke and I ended up losing all my pictures and files. I got a replacement though for very cheap.

Skating Photos!

I found some skating photos back from highschool! They bring back some memories of skating with my friends around town and at the skate park. I'm a little older now but think I could still do most of these tricks, but with a helmet.

Good Local Artists

I was invited to a concert with some people from work. It was a folk concert and I really enjoyed it. Both of the musicians were from Wisconsin. They mainly played acoustic guitar and sang. It was alot of fun. Here is a video the headliner, Willy Porter.



I would be excited to be able to play guitar as well as he does!

My Lab Bench and Desk

I've been making a video of where I work. Here are a few pictures in the meantime. I have a desk, a nice window view (even though I took a picture during a cloudy day), and my lab bench, where I do my experiments. I also have a nice plant left from the last person who used this bench. He was a professor in Spain and was on a working vacation here at Madison. If you look closely you can also see my radiation safety certificate, pinned above my desk.

Jeopardy!

Hey guys, I haven't updated this in awhile as I've been pretty busy. But last weekend the TV game show Jeopardy came into town, recording episodes for the upcoming college contest. Although I entered a lottery for tickets, I did not get selected. But my friend, Elaine, won four tickets, and she shared with me and some other friends in my class.

It was pretty cool, we were in the audience for the taping of three episodes. Even though they record three episodes in one day, they pretend each are on different day. The episodes will be airing sometime in May.

2004 MTU Winter Carnvial Skit

For winter carnival, our fraternity decided to participate in the skit event. It was alot of fun, we dressed up as cartoon characters and had a cool drum finale. I even got to play the guitar. I made most of the cartoon character outfits, we used construction paper on cardboard cutouts; it looked exactly like they do on the TV show. I am the cartoon character with the crazy blonde hair.



Due to our stellar performance we were awarded first place out of all the other participants. We preformed two showings, both to a 500 person audience.

Ice Removal in Houghton, Mi

This video is about 2 years old now. One of the houses that I lived in in Houghton had alot of ice from on top of the entry way of our house. So in February, when the weather was starting to get nicer, we decided to get rid of it, so it wouldn't accidentally hit us when we were coming in and out of the house. While it was a good idea, maybe the way we removed it needed a little revising. At least no one got hurt!

Hiking on Spring Break!

The other day I went hiking to Lake Road Park. The weather was warm even though there was still snow on the ground. It was nice to get outside again.
