Another photo from campus of a cold winter day. This is the view from the biology building.

Come see the Amazing Maize Maze!
Somehow or another we all decided to go out to a Corn Maze. It was a putative winner of an international competition...So as expected, we got lost many times. Many many times. The excursion was fun but the maze got old by the end. The best part of the trip might have been the fine cuisine (as shown in the slide show).
It's called a walking taco. I believe that they unlocked the awesome flavor of the "chili" by heating it (via heat lamp) for 48-72 hours before serving. BAM! As Emeril would say; thats how you take it up a notch.

It's Game Time
About a week ago, I got tickets to go to a wisconsin football game. The stadium was packed with people! We sat (really, stood for the whole game) in the student section. They had alot of cheers and chants. But I'm getting too old for standing up w/out moving for 3 hours.
After wards we went out to a sushi place. It was good but not filling so we left and walked directly to another restaurant across the street for dinner number two. The second restaurant was some middle eastern type cuisine. Both dinners were excellent.

The Willy Street Festival!
Today a few class mates of mine and I went to the Willy St. Festival, on Williams St. It was weird. I've never seen such an eclectic mix of people. There was no reason to but many people dressed up in ridiculous costumes. It was a good time. We listened to some jewish folk/jazz music and mostly gawked at the ever passing oddities. We saw a bearded lady, a lumberjack, loins, tigers, no bears though, many Elvis's, bumble bees and other people dressed in costumes made from clothes that even a goodwill would reject.
My First Lab Rotation
A few pictures of where I go to school and the lab that I am currently working at. This building houses both the lab I'm working in for my first rotation and one of my lectures halls. I go to school everyday, John!
A Trip to the Farmer's Market
This Saturday I took a trip over the Farmer's Market on Capitol Square.
There were so many people out and they had all kinds of food. One thing Wisconsinians are really proud of are cheese curds, small chunks of cheese. If you are able to get them in a few days after they are made from the cow, they will squeak when you bite them.
I purchased an eggplant, some honeycrisp apples and some carrots.
I also ran into these folk, I'm not sure why they were there.

A Trip up to Picnic Point
During the first week I moved to Madison, I wandered into the Picnic Point area. The park is maybe 20 minutes from my house and about 5 minutes from campus.
Some Campus Photos
Starting up the new blog
Whats up everyone? Hope things are going well. I'm thinking on using this site to let people know what I've been up to lately. I also think it'll be neat for John to see pictures of where I'm living at and stuff. So I'll eventually have pictures of my house, roomates, work, etc.. Feel free to post comments too! Later, Joe
